Froop Privacy Policy

Effective July 20, 2026

This policy explains what data Froop ("we", "the app") accesses, how it is used, stored, and deleted. Froop only accesses your data with your explicit consent and uses it solely to provide the app's features to you.

Data we access

With your permission, Froop accesses health and fitness data from Google Health / Fitbit and Health Connect, which may include: sleep sessions and stages, heart rate, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen (SpO₂), skin/body temperature, steps and activity, workouts, and body measurements. Froop also stores information you enter directly, such as check-ins and profile details.

How we use it

Your data is used only to compute and display your personal Froop insights (recovery, sleep, exertion, signals, longevity trends) and to keep them in sync across your own sessions. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties except the infrastructure providers strictly needed to run the service (Google Cloud).

Google user data — Limited Use

Froop's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google health data is used only to provide user-facing features within Froop, is never sold, and is not used for advertising.

Storage and security

Data is stored on-device and, for cross-session sync, in a secured Google Cloud backend (Firestore). Access tokens are held encrypted and are used only to fetch your data on your behalf.

If you explicitly enable cross-device learning in Transformation, Froop may also store compact, structured timeline events such as reviewed food totals, caffeine or alcohol context, workouts, check-ins, measurements and plan changes. Raw minute-level sensor streams and unrestricted journal prose are not uploaded through this timeline. You can disable this continuity without losing local use.

Retention and deletion

You can disconnect any data source at any time in the app. You can delete your Froop account and all associated cloud data from within the app or by emailing us; on deletion, your stored data and provider tokens are removed.
