Android beta releases

Froop keeps learning.

Every build should make the body model more coherent, the coaching more useful, and the evidence easier to trust. This is the public record of what changed.

Current release · July 26, 2026

Balanced sleep scoring.

Sleep V4 scores sleep efficiency once instead of counting the same derived awake share twice. A weak sleep domain still lowers the night, but one exact wearable-derived zero can no longer erase every other measured component. The Sleep receipt now presents Duration, Continuity, Timing and cautious Stage context from the same versioned score used across Froop.

Release history

Beta 88

Balanced sleep scoring

  • Sleep V4 scores sleep efficiency once instead of counting the same derived awake share twice.
  • A weak sleep domain still lowers the night, but one exact wearable-derived zero can no longer erase every other measured component.
  • The Sleep receipt now presents Duration, Continuity, Timing and cautious Stage context from the same versioned score used across Froop.
Beta 87

Accessible entry, clear signals

  • The account-and-data acceptance sentence is now one labeled checkbox action, so the full label, state and toggle are available together to TalkBack.
  • Signals now normalizes tiny rounded respiratory and temperature differences so zero is never presented as a contradictory negative change.
  • Froop's automated release matrix now covers Today, Signals, Exertion, Sleep, Longevity and the account-and-data gate across phone, Fold and tablet layouts.
Beta 86

Clear signals, broader screen proof

  • Signals now normalizes tiny rounded respiratory and temperature differences so zero is never presented as a contradictory negative change.
  • Froop's automated release matrix now covers Today, Signals, Exertion, Sleep, Longevity and the account-and-data gate across phone, Fold and tablet layouts.
  • The cinematic account-and-data gate is verified in English and French at every supported test viewport.
Beta 85

Dark entry, honest signals

  • The account and data terms now use Froop's dark cinematic background, glass surface and dark system bars instead of the bright legacy screen.
  • Today and Signals still explain correlated same-source baseline changes, but Froop no longer presents them as illness or injury prediction.
  • The hidden default-on illness alert and its notification channel are retired; user-reported symptoms still safely lower training guidance.
  • Public product copy now distinguishes measured evidence, estimates, personal associations and uncertainty.
Beta 84

One dark visual system

  • Froop's shared canvas, cards, dialogs and Material controls now use one dark cinematic palette instead of retaining a hidden white theme.
  • Supporting evidence cards use deep glass, restrained domain light and readable semantic text over nature backgrounds.
  • Every public Hub destination and representative specialist route still passes navigation, clipping and contrast checks.
  • A direct release render now prevents the shared card primitive or its text hierarchy from returning to a bright legacy surface.
Beta 83

Cinematic through every route

  • Strength, Intervals and specialist tools now keep Froop's dark nature canvas instead of returning to a bright legacy background.
  • Every public Hub destination is now opened, returned from and visually checked in the release build.
  • Recovery, HRV detail, Strength, Intervals and Wake Window now retain exact release screenshots for clipping and contrast review.
  • The returning-user legal acknowledgement and scoring guide remain cinematic, explicit and fully bilingual.
Beta 82

One cinematic language

  • The scoring guide and release experience now stay inside Froop's cinematic visual system from the first frame.
  • Score explanations no longer show decorative sample numbers or private test-account language.
  • Recovery, Exertion and Sleep explanations now distinguish measurements, estimates, uncertainty and supporting Signals.
  • English and French now cover the complete scoring guide.
Beta 81

A calmer first step

  • The account and data terms now use Froop's cinematic visual system instead of a bright legacy page.
  • Legal points remain fully readable, scrollable and explicitly accepted.
  • English and French now cover the complete account gate.
  • Compact workout continuity remains available to verified Froop accounts.
Beta 80

Workout continuity

  • Verified Froop accounts now restore compact live, manual and strength workout summaries after reinstall.
  • Raw heart-rate streams, GPS routes, private notes and detailed strength sets stay on the original phone.
  • Restored summaries remain low-priority history and cannot manufacture current Exertion.
  • Exertion now distinguishes a missing heart-rate path from a measured score.
Beta 78

Capacity continuity

  • Cached Recovery and measured Sleep now restore Capacity immediately after reopening Froop.
  • Froop still withholds Capacity when either morning anchor is missing.
  • Missing Exertion stays blank, and restored partial Capacity cannot issue a training target.
  • Cold-start Capacity now has deterministic model and emulator regression coverage.
Beta 75

Live workouts, dependable navigation

  • Live workouts now keep standard Bluetooth heart rate alive through indoor and strength sessions, process recreation and Bluetooth restarts.
  • Recovery, signal details, Strength, Intervals and Wake Window now open as true drill-ins and return to the page that launched them.
  • Strength and Intervals are reachable from Exertion again, with compact bilingual controls that fit phone layouts.
  • Release-device tests now isolate app data and traverse every maintained secondary athlete path before publication.
Beta 74

Honest evidence, clearer updates

  • Missing Sleep, workout and Recovery evidence now stays unavailable instead of becoming a zero, a low cost, or a false quality label.
  • Froop checks for new builds on launch and while open, with a persistent bilingual update action in the Hub.
  • Returning sign-in, compact onboarding, French public copy and account deletion are clearer and more reliable.
  • Every public Hub destination is release-tested, and first-run Transformation setup can safely return to the Hub without losing progress.
Beta 73

Cleaner evidence, one daily answer

  • Google Health/Fitbit, Samsung Health and Health Connect now stay in their own evidence lanes so another device cannot silently replace the source you selected.
  • Today, Signals, Exertion and live workouts now share one settled daily decision and Froop's single 0-100 Exertion scale.
  • Dormant call and notification access, synthetic production physiology and the standalone duplicate stress page have been removed.
Beta 72

Measured nights, visible updates

  • A first genuine wearable night enters measured Sleep immediately while Recovery shows honest 1-of-7 personal calibration.
  • Manual, cached or synthetic nights cannot create a Sleep score or pretend overnight physiology was measured.
  • Froop compares beta versions and Android build codes correctly, refreshes the release feed promptly and announces each release once without interrupting the app.
Beta 70

Cloud truth catches up

  • A new body-model version refreshes its cloud receipt even when the day's measured inputs have not changed.
  • Pull to sync carries changed settled evidence through Froop Cloud without waiting for the background timing window.
  • Unchanged current-model days remain deduplicated, preserving bandwidth and cloud cost.
Beta 69

One input, one plan

  • The same settled evidence now produces the same coaching plan instead of changing when Froop refreshes.
  • New model and source generations start clean validation lanes while older evidence remains available for audit.
  • Android and Froop Cloud verify Recovery, Sleep and Exertion with the same version 8 body model.
Beta 68

One baseline, one answer

  • Recovery, Readiness, Signals, Body Watch and Today use one robust, recency-weighted personal baseline.
  • Missing wearable nights now age the baseline correctly so stale history cannot create a current personal signal.
  • Longevity separates today's Recovery from the seven-observation moving average shown by its trajectory.
Beta 67

A cleaner, claim-safe Froop

  • Public screens and release notes now use current Froop language while legacy storage identifiers remain private.
  • The unvalidated Fitness age estimate and unreachable legacy Health screen have been removed.
  • Obsolete Logbook, comparison, automation, notification and legacy-source routes can no longer reopen retired white interfaces.
  • Pull-to-sync guidance now remains legible on its dark cinematic panel in English and French.
Beta 66

Signals that agree

  • Signals cannot call the day stable when a trusted vital is meaningfully outside its personal baseline.
  • A single changed vital is distinguished from a corroborated multi-signal pattern instead of implying broader fatigue or illness.
  • Today and Signals name HRV and resting-heart-rate evidence directly instead of presenting a vague Autonomic Load label.
Beta 65

Clearer truth, private coaching

  • Coach conversation uses only the settled daily model and verified on-device memory; technical model-provider controls remain deferred.
  • The obsolete standalone Readiness and Autonomic Load route is removed while measured HRV and resting-heart-rate evidence remains in Signals.
  • Longevity now calls its 14-day Recovery average a Recovery trend instead of implying a broad health score.
  • Authenticated account owners can delete a new account before email verification; health upload remains verification-gated.
Beta 64

One body model, one source of truth

  • Recovery, Sleep, Exertion, Capacity and Coach publish from the same versioned daily evidence and source-specific calibration epoch.
  • Workout edits and deletion rebuild local Exertion so an old session cannot leave ghost load behind.
  • Onboarding and Devices & Data expose only supported Android sources, and No tracker no longer selects a false source.
  • The versioned Froop backup preserves the local database, portable settings and private progress photos while excluding credentials.
Beta 63

Zone Minutes, without inflated activity

  • Today and Exertion import provider-calculated Zone Minutes directly and show progress against the 22-minute daily pace.
  • Sources without Zone Minutes keep their broader Active Minutes label instead of receiving a false conversion.
  • Today adds compact live-heart-rate access, Day View remains steady during sync, and pull to sync now matches Froop's cinematic surface.
  • Phone previews on froop.app conceal captured Android status and notification icons.
Beta 62

Transparent on Samsung launchers

  • Froop now serves its transparent vector mark as a non-adaptive launcher icon.
  • This avoids Samsung's forced black fill behind transparent adaptive layers.
  • The mark remains crisp across phone, tablet and foldable sizes.
Beta 61

A transparent Froop launcher mark

  • The old dark rounded launcher plate has been removed.
  • Adaptive, round and density-specific Android icons share the transparent treatment.
  • The Froop geometry and brand colours remain unchanged.
Beta 60

Updates without interruption

  • Froop checks a trusted, public release manifest without delaying health-data publication.
  • A quiet menu and Hub badge makes a new build discoverable without an automatic popup.
  • The cinematic update sheet presents bilingual release notes and opens the signed APK only after the user chooses Update.
  • Temporary network failures preserve the last known update notice.
Beta 59

Sleep v3 and adaptive evidence

  • Sleep now accounts for duration, efficiency, wake fragmentation, timing regularity and conservative wearable-stage context.
  • Perfect scores require complete near-ideal evidence; older score receipts are rejected after model upgrades.
  • Android and Froop Cloud use the same versioned formula, and three-digit Sleep scores no longer clip.
  • Today, Signals, Sleep, Exertion, Longevity and Coach remain useful without fabricating missing overnight physiology.
Beta 58

Nutrition joins Day View

  • Day View shows energy, protein and fluid progress from the canonical Nutrition log.
  • Untargeted calories remain a logged total instead of receiving a fabricated completion score.
  • Food and barcode capture are available directly from the daily nutrition instrument.
Beta 57

A useful day without overnight wear

  • Froop switches to Day View when overnight evidence is unavailable.
  • Steps, active minutes, sessions, nutrition and transformation remain available.
  • Check-ins guide descriptive advice without inventing Recovery, Sleep, HRV or Capacity.
Beta 56

One active source model

  • Google Health, Samsung Health and Health Connect use explicit source ownership and isolated calibration lanes.
  • Autonomic insights abstain when heart-rate evidence is too sparse.
  • Sleep timing and source evidence are clearer across English and French.
Beta 55

Your Google connection follows your account

  • Froop rediscovers an existing account-owned Google Health connection after reinstall.
  • Provider tokens remain on the server and are never exposed to the app.
  • Measured sleep timing restores wake-time continuity and Capacity evidence.

Installing an update: download the newest APK on your Android phone and open it. Because releases use the same Froop signing certificate and package, Android updates the existing app without deleting its local data. Keep a backup before beta testing important changes.
